Grant options for ICT solutions aimed at elderly persons living alone

12 maart 2020

A new subsidy round has been opened for the Active & Assisted Living Program (AAL2). This program supports innovative, international and multidisciplinary cooperation projects aimed at ICT solutions for elderly living independently. As part of the work-programme, the AAL Programme launched a new Challenge-led Call for Proposals “Healthy Ageing with the Support of Digital Solutions”.

The call offers, just like in the previous round, the possibility of submitting 'small' cooperation projects, aimed at developing new ideas, concepts and/or approaches for ICT solutions for the elderly. These 'small' cooperation projects have a duration of 6 to 9 months and are eligible for up to € 300,000 in support. A total subsidy budget of € 100,000 is available for the joint Dutch partners in a project.

The 'traditional' cooperation projects have a duration of 12 to 30 months and are eligible for a maximum of € 2.5 million in support. A total subsidy budget of € 500,000 is available for the joint Dutch partners in a project.

Both types of cooperation projects must be carried out by consortia consisting of at least three independent organizations from three different AAL countries, including a user organization and a company. Different maximum subsidy percentages apply for the different types of partners in AAL projects, which vary from 40% to 75%.

The deadline for applications is 22/05/2020 at 17:00 hours Central European Time (CET). If you would like to stay informed about this grant or want to discuss a project idea, please contact the Alfa grant experts.
